Barbara Sandick owns Buckle B Productions. She has a Master of Arts from the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Wyoming, and a B.A. degree in Communication, with a minor in African American and Diaspora Studies. Her passion is visual communication, documentary filmmaking, and cultural studies. She has engaged in several cultural studies on the African continent. In Tanzania, her focus was on women’s empowerment. In northwestern Namibia, her focus was on disenfranchised ethnic groups. Recent projects include researching potential cultural change resulting from the recent development of primate conservation and ecotourism projects in the interior of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo).
